- Message says Black ink has run out but I just put a new "refilled" cartridge in and it is full. I have used these before and they have always worked. I was wondering if there is some way I can "reset" whatever is causing the message. Pressing down the reset button for 5 seconds doesn't do anything. Help!

- I'll have to try that. I'll let you know later.
Thanks.
You need the chip on the cartridge replaced or reset. The little circuit board on the front of the cartridge is what tells your printer that it is full or empty. You can either buy a new chip, or a resetter for around $20.00 and reset these chips in the future.
