Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
I have a 2005 maytag Neptune, and the clothes aren't spinning dry like they normally do. After doing a little bit of research online, I discovered that they have a suds sensor on them and if too much soap is used, it will shut down the spin cycle. My mother in law has been doing her laundry here while I'm at work so I don't know how much soap she has been using...hopefully that's all it is, probab#ly not though.
When I do a load, and put the next in, I push start, and it beeps 3 times and won't turn on. I find that if I wait about 45 minutes to an hour, it works fine. Till it stopped spinning that is. It has been acting up for about a week and I have stopped using it till I figure out what is wrong. I'm thinking a burnt board...this is getting expensive. :(
Fortunately boards for most washers are cheap. Rebuilt board= $35 to 100: look online.
But your washer probably doesn't have a bad board. It sounds more like a motor. Does the mother-in-law like to overload the washer so she can get out of your house faster? If your motor overheats there is a bimetal switch that must cool off before it will run again -kinda sounds like your problem.
