Direct replacement for pvm2070 microwave

you have a door latch problem or the control panel is going bad.

You should first check the outlet with a toaster or hair dryer to be sure it's working under a load.

Then you should test the fuse then the TCOs if the fuse is good.

There is a technical sheet hidden behind the grille or controls.

On the JVM2070- and PVM2070-series microwaves, GE does not make service information or separate parts available.

So when you have an error with the controller that does not involve the smart board (and this error does not) then you have to order the control panel subassembly, which on your model (PVM2070SM1SS) is part number WB07X11143 and you can get it from the Pros here for $477.83 (subject to change).

It's very expensive but it's actually simple to replace that part yourself.

You would remove the control panel assembly as shown in our video here, then remove your smart board and attach it to the new control panel subassembly.

If it's under warranty or GE Customer Service would give you a break on the the part cost, that would be a big plus for you.

Here is a Manufacturer authorized substitution: M0S0885, it looks different then the original which has been discontinued but it should work. I found it on Sears parts direct for $64.99.

My PVM2070 Spacemaker Microwave quit working & its DEAD. I checked circuit braker, unplugged unit, checked power is ok, open/shut door, pushed very sensor buttons; its DEAD. Help??

yes,unplug the unit ,remove the outer case ,follow the plug inside to the fuse ,read the amperage ,test the fuse with an ohm meter should read shot or 0 ohms if not replace whit same type and amperage,

Your turntable motor is shot. It's simple to remove and replace. you don't even have to take the microwave out of the shelf. To remove it take out seven screw around the perimeter of the bottom. Lift up on back of bottom to get over clips on the back. Remove the two screws holding the motor in and detach the plug. Find a electrical repair shop for you make pick it up and replace it. When replacing it take out plate and hold plate key down and align flat side of shaft on motor with the plate key.
