I had the same problem with my Player I went to walmart and asked them about it and they said if you charge the battery before its completly drained or play the play while plugged in it will ruin the battery. Then I was told I had to order a new battery from Durabrand
Whoa careful there leethedeuce,
"but yes
not draining it all the way and then charging it fully will decrease
the batteries life."
That's not such a good idea; Li-Po's have no memory but they don't last long if over discharged. It's better to keep Li-ion and Li-Po batteries charged and at 1/2 charge for storage.
Well actually it charges while plugged in even when running. but yes not draining it all the way and then charging it fully will decrease the batteries life. So they will not last as long if you take care and charge them properly. Durabrand is actually a walmart brand, made only for walmart. These dvd players are actually outsourced through Lennox. Hi! I have a Durabrand Portable DVD player that has developed a strange problem. The lithium power pack seems to be expanding. The case is swollen so the player does not sit flat anymore. Do you have any idea what is causing this? The player works fine, but I am afraid this might be a serious symptom of problems to come.
