Question about Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Digital Camera

1 Answer

Powershit SD 850IS pictures are very noisy.

The camera took great pictures at first and then the pictures became very noisy. The warranty has expired and I am not sure if there are any fixes for the problem. I have tried taking pictures on all different settings but there is no improvement in the noise. Any suggestions/

No tsure what you mean by "noise". How do the pictures look when taken outdoors? Are they overexposed?

You either have a bad CCD or a bad focus motor on your lens. Look to sell on Ebay as is, parts can be salvaged like the CCD otherwise look for a new camera.

Hi, I took some great pictures recently before i realised my kids had removed the SD card, the camera came with a cradle to charge the battery and to download the pictures, this cradle is now broken, is it...

You can't copy individual files, but you can copy all files from internal memory to an SD card.
  1. Load the card to which you want to copy.
  2. Turn on the camera, enter the Play mode, and press MENU.
  3. Select "Copy" and press right-arrow.
  4. Use up/down-arrows to select "Built in -> Card" and press SET.
For full details, refer to page 203 of the manual.

Cannon SD 750 - when i try to take a picture a black screen appe

Think that you accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD display on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time.

Canon SD 850 says lens error,

There could be a number of reasons for the lens error. ie. . sand in camera, impact damage etc. Typically the lens can be dissasembled and repaired by a competent camera repair technician. If you are certain that you did not damage the camera in any way I would send it back to canon for a warranty repair. If you however think you could have damaged it you are probably looking at around $100 to repair the camera. Hope this helps!
