If this is a toploader, the usual cause is an overload. when there is an article of clothing that isn't all the way below the top rim of the inner tub, and when the machine hits the spin cycle, that piece of clothing can actually pop that fill tube out of its place in the top of the outer drum... the next time the machine goes to refill, it makes a royal mess all over the floor.
If the fill tube flange is not damaged (just knocked out) you can reinstall it. but if it's cut at all, replace it...
The out of balance could have been from overfilling as well.
Hope that helps you .

I have a amana washing machine it works fine on small and medium loads but does not drain and spin right when its on large loads I changed the pump and still not right

Have you checked drain hose for any obstructions? If there is no problems with drain hose, is water backing up inside the drain pipe at the wall? If water backs up enough, could cause some issues. If Unit is draining fine on any level size, could be a gearcase issue.

I HAVE A LEAK FROM RIGHT BOTTOM OF A SAMSUNG WF448AAP/XXA-000 FROMT LOAD WASHER ONLY HAPPENS DURING RINSE CYLCE

Hello Harlan;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Your drain hose is in the back on the right hand side. This is a rubber hose. After a time the rubber may be dry rotted and leak or become partly clogged with soap residue.

Once completing the wash cycle the soapy water may have not completely drained due to a partly clogged drain hose by the time the rinse cycle is complete flooding the washer drain pan.

You do not have water in the bottom of the washer because your pump removed it all, but at a slower rate

Ok, Lets fix this ourselves:

1.) On the bottom right front of your washed is a leveling leg.
turn the leveling leg one full turn clockwise. The right front may be pitched down, causing the drain pan level on this corner to be high. Your washer through vibration may have moved slightly. This is not going to solve the problem.

2.) Pull your washing machine out so you can see the drain hose. Run some laundry on heavy load. Observe to see if your drain hose is leaking. Your hose clamps may be loose and require tightening. If it is leaking it needs to be replaced.

3.) Even if your drain hose is not leaking it must be obstructed, flooding the bottom of your unit. This is easily replaced.

The part number for your drain hose is DC97-12534D. It cast about $24.00.

The machine fills up with water but does not shutoff.

The water level is controlled by a pressure switch that is located behind the load level selector knob in the operator console. The pressure switch has electrical connections and an air hose that runs to the bottom of the wash tub. In many cases the air hose comes loose from the pressure switch. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r762094-washer_overflows

Read through the link and let me know if you have any questions. If this isn't a simple matter of a loose air hose, verify your electrical contacts are clean. If all these preliminary checks fail, replace your pressure switch. I hope this helps you.

Water was overflowing over the top and flooding the laundry room

If it was left in the reset position then it could absolutely pushed the diaphragm in the air switch to a point that the contactor couldn't reach it. Set it on a large load, let it fill and watch it. If it starts to overflow, pull the plug out, if it continues filling, you need a new water valve on the washing machine and if it stops then you need a new level switch

Check that the washer is level , and that there is no movement on it.
Make sure you have not overloaded it.
An out of balance load could cause problem , especially if you had something heavy or extra large in it..
A loose concrete balance weight., or suspension spring unhooked or broken..
Not draining properly ,check filter if there is one usually at front behind removable cover at bottom.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Ge wbsr washer overflows...

Could it be ...this happens only when it is overloaded or the load is out of balance. Please clarify.

If this is not the case .. the water level hose running from the outside tank to the water level switch is likely not making a good seal (otherwise the water level switch itself is bad). Sometimes with age the hose forms a crack in it near or at the end where it connects. This could happen at either end of the hose. Also if you have removed the control panel recently (for any reason) you may have (not knowingly) pulled the water level hose loose from the water level switch. Just slide the hose back onto the tube of the switch before putting the control panel back in place and all will be fine after the first filling of the tub (it may take one filling cycle to build the needed vacuum back up in the hose). Unless of course in the process you have broken the tube off the switch where the hose goes on. In this case replace the switch.

It sound like you drain hose is siphoning off the rinse water, It needs a standpipe make sure the drain hose is at about the height of the top of the washer, Make sure the drain hose isnt stuck in the drain it also needs an air cap. the drain hose should not lay on the floor to run to the drain

Please let me know if this doesnt solve your problems

How can I fix my Kenmore portable washer 100.49722990?

Most common cause for water leak
is around the water level sensor connection, a small hose from the tank bottom rear, to the control panel, if loose or removed it is a small constant leak. if loose snip 1/8 inch off the hose refit and pull a zip tie around it tight

if it were the drain hose or pump, it would usually be a very large leak that increases when the pump is running and floods the laundry
