Question about HP L1702 17" LCD Monitor
My HP LCD comes on when I turn on the power, but only for a few seconds, then it goes on black screen (not off) again. I removed it and hooked my old one back and it worked fine,so I think it is the monitor fault.
Can you help me????????
The monitor has blown a capacitor, and if your good with a soldering gun and can locate the cap which will have the top rounded instead of flat, remove it and take it to the electronic store and they will give you a replacement. If the capacitor is bad it won't hold the charge and that's why you only see a second or two on the screen. Make sure you are capable of this kind of work, before you decide to do it.

It is a capacitor 16V, 1000uF.
