First service mode to clear the counter, then remove the developer section, dump old developer replace with new developer then run TCR adjustment. recommend replacing the drum and cleaning blade at same time.
The Electrostatics Control is not cleaning up excess toner from your printer drum probably a pro help is required try this - remove the toner and shake it laterally fix it back and check - also at the contrast setting and adjust if required
when toner spills it could be that the seal between toner tray/harper/ hopper is not working properly, it could also be developer inside the drum that is worn down, if you page/print has a slight grey background then replace the developer, you will need a qualified technician for this as there is settings that need to be done after developer replacement
First ensure fax line and and network cable is disconnected (If no FAX or network dont worry) dont want any print jobs or faxs arriving before you run Developer and drum checks after replaceing both.. Second go to the service mode and clear the drum and developer counters touch end then power off the using main power switch left hand side rear. You will be replacing both do not just replace the drum. Ensure your drum comes with what is called a drum cleaning blade, along with your developer. Secondly open the right side door and remove the Image unit. Dissamabley the image unit four silver screws two per side. Then pull each side apart from the base and lift up. T change developer remove the 3 alummin screws fro the base top. Then dump the old developer DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER THE STATIC ELECTRICITY WILL DESTROY THE SENSOR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DEVELOPER UNIT!!!!!!!!!! Turn the gears on the side so that large roller that runs along th\e front of the developer unit turns downward. keep turing it unit all of the old developer is out. DO NOT USE WATER OR WET RAGS to cleanup use a brush. Add your new developer. One Bag only. Reassamable. Now for the Drum. Remove both side covers one side has small plasitic been so be careful. Reove drum remove three screws to remove old cleaning blade this section you can use a vacuum clean turn the gears to get the hold section clean. install the new cleaning blade and drum DO NOT TOUCH THE DRUM use only the side gears. Replace the SCTRON Grid and Charge Corona UNIT. REassaembly Image Unit. Then POwer up the machine, Enter service mode and run Fuction F8. Do not may copies or prints before this or you will have to buy new developer again.
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS?????? HAVE SERVICE TECH COME OUT AND DO THIS
There has been a tend to use MIDI sysex files for dumps rather than the unreliable audio recording... The cassette method can be tricky. Setting volume levels for record and playback is tricky.
Also using cassette recorders of newer design often have "compression" that automatically adjusts the volume level on record... these do not work very well... IF you have changed recorders since you had positive results, this might be the problem.
An additional thing can be the recording media as there are differebt coatings for tapes and bias levels.
Save yourself grief and use a MIDI adapter for your PC and record MIDI sysex dumps for these units instead oof cassette audio.
From memory. open the right side door then open the front door.Remove the toner cartridge set on some paper so your floor doesn't get dirty. There will be a blue screw at the lower right position where the toner was removed from. (loosen screw) you now can slide out the developer unit. (keep it level) place on opened newspaper. Now remove the toner holder from the developer unit there is a small blue screw under a small red pad. When the screw is out slide the lower plastic piece forward and out. You can now dump out the old developer notice where it is coming from, you may want to wear a mask (i don't) You should have a toner vacuum to vac off the developer roller as you turn it. When it is all clean shake up the new developer and cut off a small corner and poor it evenly into the developer unit. (the same place you emptied it from) reassemble the developer unit (keep level) slide back in placs tighten the blue screw and put the toner back. Close the front door and right side door. There is a code that i can't remember to turn off the developer maintenance call. check your copy count in 25000 copies it will be due again. Note a drum and cleaning blade are also required at maintenance time.
Hello sir; it is the time to replace developer.pull out developer unit ,right underneath drum unit, remove two snap clip open the ccover dump old developer clean out inside the unit with vaccunm cleaner. then fill in new devloper the simulation2801 & 2805.
You probably have some thing in the developer unit, if you take out the developer and check the bag roller and brush, if you slowly turn the dev unit you might see a void area that is being passed onto the drum.
If the developer has a large numbers of copies on it then dump the developer and replace the starter.
Make sure the developer get thoroughly cleaned especially behind the blade.
If the developer is not all that old, then lift the blade off and clean the backside of the blade, and the area or areas of the brush that have the void.
You have to take out the toner/developer box. Unscrew the top portion(usually blue screws), then separate the two. Dump out the old developer and vacuum out the remainder. OPen the DV bag and slowly poor the dv into the unit evenly. then rotate the DV cylinder with e screw driver at the rear to blend it onto the dv roller. close the unit and reinsert to copier. There is service mode to run the toner into the new developer. You can contact me to find this out.
