1. Internet Service Providers (whoever you have your broadband connection with) are more and more limiting your download speeds via torrent to 20 or 30k. This is by design of your ISP and there is nothing much that you can do about and the reason they do it is to prevent people from downloading copyrighted materials.

2. If you have a legitimate reason for using torrent technology to download 1GB+ files often, then contact your ISP about it and tell them you are trying to download legal files of whatever it is you are trying to download and see if they will fix it. Probably not, however. In fact, they probably won't even admit to using sandvine to limit your download speeds. I know for one Comcast is doing this very thing.

Broadband is what kinda way to connect internet

Broadband Internet service truly is the most used form of Internet access because of its high access speeds; it is offered in four different forms, DSL, also fiber-optic, cable, and satellite.
As you decide what Internet connection is the best fit for your needs, you may wish to narrow down your selection based on your preferred download and upload speeds. Reliably fast speeds and comprehensive coverage make it easier than ever to stream your favorite TV shows and movies, share photos, chat with friends and play games online.
I can suggest you for all your needs get on one website. Mungi is one of the best nbn plans websites on the internet.
They will give you best internet speeds, fairly priced connection plans, and excellent 24/7 customer care and support team.

Hello, there is nothing wrong with your buffer. If you use wireless connection to the router 55.91 Mbps is very good speed. To achieve the 100 Mbps speed you need to connect the laptop to the router with a cable.

How to check broadband speed

Before starting to check broadband speed test it is best to make sure that there are no other internet activities using your connection that might be using data, like app updates, streaming video, or online games.
Search on google there is many tools to check speed test.
Click on the start test button when you're ready, and wait a couple of minutes while the test runs. You will get an upload and download number in Mbps.
If your broadband speed is not good. I suggest you one of the best websites. Mungi is one of the best websites for broadband. They give us better speed, good connection, free services, and cheap charges. For getting more details about best nbn plans click on the link.

I have broadband internet connection on my computer. the download speed that it shows is 100mbps; whereas i get only 20mbps. how do i get a higher speed of downloading.

hey , this is always the case.
if it shows 100 mbps does not mean you will get 100mbps download speed.as far as i know no internet connection provides 100mbps download speed.

however a little improvement can be made in the speed by optimising your settings .
you may use Modem Booster , download accelerator for this purpose.
if you do lot of downloading download idm(internet download manager).to accelerate your download.

one thing i should add for your knowledge.understand the difference between mbps and MBps.B stands for byte and there are 8 bits in a byte so take a conversion factor of 8.this is a general misconception among people and whilie downloading note that the speed is shown in B and not b.

Regards.

Low connection speed

Hello, the 100Mbps connection is to your router and not to the Internet. that means you can copy with a speed of 100Mbps(theoretically) between computers in YOUR network. You can test your Internet speed on www.speedtest.net, choose a nearby test point. If you paying for 2mbps and only getting 0.15 I suggest that you contact your Internet Provider because its very low if you paying for 2mbps.
