Check for proper voltage at contactor, check capacitor, motor might be going out on overload. Meaning it is getting hot and shutting off. when it cools down it starts again. windings in motor are probably going bad.

Air conditioning condensor on side of house not working

sounds like you need to check your run cap it is silver in the outside unit and it runs the compressor and fan motor. Check on the capacitor what size it is and replace it for example 45+5 uf.

SPLIT AC CONDENSER TRIPS AFTER 1 OR 2 MINS, ONLY DURING THE DAY TIME

The condensor is not cooling fast enough. Try cleaning the condensor coil. Also check that the fan goes on. At night the outside temperature is cooler and does not need much work to cool down the condensor.

The outside unit will work only briefly and bring the temp. down about 1 degree in 2 hours of running. Then the outside unit turns off for at least 2 to 3 hours.

Does the outside unit completley shutoff or does the
condensor fan keep on operating? If this is the case
the compressor could be overheating and shutting down. Try washing the condensor from inside out.

If you can read electrical diagram on the back of the
condensor electrical panel check to see if it has a
high pressure switch, if this is the case it probably
is cycling off this switch. Wash the Condensor and make sure the fan is operating.

If the big insulated line does not feel cool after 15 min. of operation you could be low on freon.

Ac fan on, blowing air, but not cold

Check outside unit if unit and compressor are running feel the large line to see if it is cold. If compressor is running and line is not cold possible charge problems. You may have a capacitor problem outside. they go out quite often. You can change this yourself, Open up outside unit and the cap is the silver bullet with terminals out the top. Bad cap can cause compressor to not operate and also the fan. You need to clean the coil inside or at leat check the coil to see if it is clean. You can clean theis with a toilet brush do not go against the coil bit brush with the fins. You may need to call a service tech but try these options first. russ

71122 ac model starts but the fan does not blow any air .shuts off within seconds.

which fan shuts down? Outside condensor fan? Or blower inside? If its the outside condensor fan motor you probably have a bad run capacitor or a bad condensor fan motor

My outside ac unit is humming and warm..but fan not turning!

Souns like the compressor is running but the cooing fan is not. First you should see if the fan is blocked . Then see If the fan motor is getting power. If the motor is getting power it could be that the motor is bad. If the motor needs a capacitor to start that could also be the problem. Look for a cylinder shaped protrusion on the side of the motor. If these all check out then whatever tells the fan motor to come on is not working. Sorry but I cant help with that. Good luck!!

A/C FAN MOTOR SHUT OFF, BUT CONDENSER KEEP ON RUNNING

The condenser fan might be going out. It'll start when cool but shuts off as soon as it starts to warm up.

Fan whining and blades not going

Sounds like your compressor outside is frozen up or (locked up) the smell is outside correct? it could also be your fan also in your condensor unit outside the easiest way is to listen for fluid movement (if your freon is moving then your compressor is working and you need to lean toward a fan motor. check to see if you can move the fan blades in the compressor (outside ) if the problem is in the house then approach in the same way with the power to the unit turned off only If you cannot turn it most likely fan motor replacement is in order, and pressure sensors are not letting your condensor run. theres a few things to try hope i have helped .Honestly it probably would not hurt to let a service man look at it anyway, but this way at least you're a little wiser chris
