SOURCE: copying data to dvd

A program like Nero is the easiest way to do it. Nero comes with most DVD Recorder drives, so you may even have a copy already.

Your system is either infected by virus or other malicious software. you have two options for this problem.1. You have to scan your hard disk with strong and latest spy ware if is not solving your problem then 2. you have to perform the low level formatting of your hard disk.
Best of Luck.

SOURCE: when copying Windows Vista install dvd to usb,

Hello,
Make sure your install DVD is not scratched or full of finger prints. If you have another computer try using it to copy the DVD to USB. Some dvd players read dvd's better then others. If you need to, it is not illegal to download the software off the internet as long as you use the product key that came with your copy of the software when you install it. You could download the ISO from a torrent site and extract it to USB if you needed, with programs like MagicISO.

I have a DVD made 10 years ago whch plays on my PC (windows 7) when inserted into the DVD drive and also from windows media player. I want it to play from a USB for an 80th birthday coming up.

You need to rip the DVD with a DVD/Blu-ray ripping program.
A ripping program is software that can pull the content of a DVD out to a digital file, which can be put on a USB drive.
Here is a Tutorial to rip Blu-ray/DVD with Leawo Blu-ray Ripper. If you don't think you will ever need to rip a Blu-ray you can get a Leawo DVD Ripper which only rips DVD.

Want to copy a TV programme I have on DVD to an 8GB Sandisk backup stick

Hi,
Explore the DVD and just copy the files with VOB extension to USB Stick. These are the Video Files and can be played on any PC. You may also use Any DVD Ripper Software to extract the video from DVD and convert it to any other format such as avi.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

How do I play DVD on the BlueRay player?

According to the Vizio website, your VBR231 CAN play DVDs the same way a lot of Blu-Ray players can. The site blurb suggests the VBR231 is backwards compatible - which means your player should be able to play DVDs as well as Blu-Ray. Generally, most Blu-ray players can play DVDs if they are backwards compatible with them.

I do know Blu-Ray discs will NOT work in most standalone DVD decks.

MODEL NUMBER: VBR231

*Model Features:
* Full HD 1080p Video Playback
* Integrated Dual Band Wi-Fi - 802.11n
* 7.1 Digital Audio Output
* Backwards Compatible (see below)

*Compatibility:
* Plays Blu-ray and DVDs, Audio CDs, MP3s and Jpegs
* Multi-Channel 7.1 Audio Output via HDMI
* Playback and Enjoy Media via back USB Input (JPEGs and MP3s)

*Outputs:
* HDMI 1.3
* Component Video (YCrCB)
* Composite Video
* Stereo Audio
* Coaxial Audio
* Optical Digital Audio

I hope that helps somewhat.

How to play region A blu ray discs on region c Blu ray player. i have bought this player in India but would like to play BD discs got for USA, and the player does not plays such disc.

The Player will not play the Blu-ray discs other than Region C.
This is because all the Blu-ray/DVD Players are designed such way that it will play only the discs that are manufactured and sold in the same country where the Player is manufactured.

You can play the discs that are "Region ALL".

However, you may try copying the content of the Region A/B Blu-ray discs to a Computer then create a video Blu-ray disc to check whether you can play them in the BDPS370.

I wish to copy a DVD with .DAT file or other video

First to make it clean, you are not allowed to make copies of the original DVDs. They are under Copyright law.

You may make a copy of original DVD for home/backup purpose.

Put your DVD in your drive.

If some movie playing software opens, than close it !
Plug your USB device and open it.
Create a folder with the name of movie, and open it !

Open My computer, right click on your DVD Rom device, and click Open.

You will see contents of the DVD. Press CTRL+A click and drag it to the new folder on your USB !

Later you can watch the movie from the USB.

If you want to copy a disc to antoher you need some software like Nero and you should choose a DVD Copy.

Please note that you will need a Disc with tjhe same size as the original (4.7 or 8.4 GB) and also, note that some DVD movies are protected and can not be copied, or that you might not be able to watch a copy of it.

Regards.

VDR M50 drivers for Windows Vista Ultimate

plug the camera in via usb so the camera shows up as a removeable drive. if it picks up the camera as a DVD burner instead of drive, install the DVD-RAM drivers (in compatibility mode for XP SP2 w/ administrative privileges if necessary) and browse the contents of the disc - copy and paste the VRO file to your hard drive and rename it as an mpg - should be readable at that point. good luck.
