The easy way if you do not have the xp disks, go to MS support via the internet, look for downloads for audio/sound, maybe drivers too but from your pc manufacturers web sight. anyway, MS does not help with XP operating systems anymore, but maybe vista OS or windows 7(32 bit OS) will suffice for you. download the audio/sound files for your pc using those OR the files from you pc model website.
good luck! if you had the cd/dvds for xp you could use the Windows Add/Remove Programs to redownload those files for your system: left side of A/R Programs window.

The same model ThinkCentre can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkCentre, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. My computer type is: intell r core tm 2 duo cpu E750 @ 2.93 GHZ MY COMPUTER NEED IDENTIFY SOUN

Assuming this is either a laptop or the onboard audio chipset of your desktop PC, AND you've lost your Owner's Manual...
  1. Go to the manufacturer's website, and find the "Customer Support" tab/button.
  2. Find the model (they usually have drop-down fields with types, models and numbers. Then press the "Go" or "Search" button (whichever one is present) or just hit the ENTER key.
  3. Once you get to the right web page, look for something that says "Specifications" or "Technical Details" If you can't find it yourself, try using the browser's search (hold down Ctrl and F keys at the same time), and type "Spec" when prompted.
  4. Look for the word, Audio. It should list what kind of audio is provided.
  5. If the web page has tabs, look for a tab or button for "Download(s)" and click on it.
  6. Usually, there's at least one entry for the audio drivers. Select the one that matches your operating system.

How install driver delta66 in Ubuntu ?

Linux support for Delta 66 does exist with a paid commercial license, however you might try the free download from
that supports OSS (open sound systems).

Make sure you choose the Linux 2.6 (x86) DEB file... that's a Debian package type that Ubuntu bases its builds upon.

Download this to your desktop with the web browser then double-click on it to install it to your system. Additional instructions form the opensound.com download page may provide additional information that you need to know, for example, the driver name may appear as envy24 when you configure OSS to work with your system.

If you're running a 64-bit edition of Ubuntu, then this won't work.
