I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

If you have sound, but no picture, your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need a one circuit board or small part. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I keep getting a blue screen on my Insignia TV. Cable box still shows the channel and I can change channels but nothing on screen. No sound either. This TV is not even 3 years old yet.

A blue screen indicates no video signal, if you change the video input to a DVD player is it still a blue screen? If yes then the TV is defective. If no then some how the signal is being lost to the TV from whatever source you use for watching broadcast TV

The Wii has a known video problem. At fault is the nVidia video chip which gets hot and separates connections to the motherboard. The solution is on utube. Search for the oven solution for nVidia chips.

Blue screen: Not Support!

It sounds like you have no signal being detected by the TV. Check your connections to the TV from your cable box or satelite reciever to be sure they're plugged in tightly. If you have a DVD player or VCR, try watching something from one of them to see if you get a picture. If you do, then your problem may be with your cable box or satelite reciever, and not the TV.
Good luck.

Intermitting blue screen whilst watching my dvd

I'll need more information, but it sounds like an encoded (for copy protection) dvd being played through another device before going to the TV. That intermittent blue screen is usually that. How are you hooking up to your TV?

HAI

Start by going to a good college and studying electronics 101 followed by electronics 102, math, algbra, etc, until you get an engineering degree. Now as for the dark purple and blue. It sounds as though you have a picture tube getting weak in the red gun and unless you can turn the red gun up you may need a new set. Anyway, good luck and have a great week

No Picture

As long as you can hook that same cable up to a different TV and get a good picture, you must have somehow damaged the tuner on the APEX - unless the set was mishandled while moving. Those cheaper brands won't take much punishment.
