Question about Apple iTunes

1 Answer

My monitor on one computer broke, and so I switched to another computer, which already has music, but it is my brother's. Could I sign into iTunes online in any way, and get my old music back? Is there any way I can sign in or do anything on the new iTunes so that my old iTunes profile will come back? It recognizes me at the store, but I still can't get my music back. . .any help??

You can access I tunes on any computer as long as it is online. If it is store on the computer itself, than you cannot do it unless you music file sharing.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I'm not able to transfer music from itunes to iphone since switching from a mac to pc, what can I do?

I assume you downloaded the latest iTunes to PC then signed into your Apple ID to backup the iphone first.otherwise the library that's on the computer will not identify correctly with the iphone.if your new computer does not have all those songs on the hdd like the Mac you can try copying them over album by album but it takes ages.one work around is to download a small program called ifunbox....it's free and is much better at transferring stuff to and from iPhones.also easy to move files videos pictures that way.

I have a new laptop... I am trying to download music from my computer to my ipod. I think I am missing some kind software to make this happen.

If you do not have iTunes already downloaded onto your new laptop then you need to download it before you can put music from your computer onto your iPod.
Go to this link http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ to download iTunes (free). Once it is downloaded, you have to import your music that's on your computer onto your iTunes. This will take a while if you have a lot of music.
After that is done, you will be able to plug your iPod into your laptop and iTunes should recognize it and from there you'll be able to put your music onto the iPod.
Remember though, after you format your iPod to a PC you cannot plug it into a Mac (or Mac then to a PC) to put music on it, as it is already formatted to one and if you want music from the other you will have to reformat it which causes you to lose all of your music currently on it.
Be sure that the computer you are formatting it to (PC or Mac) is the kind you will be using for music at all times.
I hope this helps :)

I am already a member of itunes case number 126-039-168 How do i transfer to my new computer

No problem, this only takes 5 easy steps to accomplish.

First, install iTunes on the new computer. (http://www.apple.com/itunes)

Second, start iTunes on the new computer. It will open up with a blank library (or the sample music that comes with Windows, but not your music library)

Third, click on iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes. This will require an internet connection.

Almost there!
Fourth, look in the top-left corner, right under "Search Store" and you'll see a button to log in. This may be your email address, or "Sign In"
Click on that and it will prompt you for your iTunes account info. Log in and hit "Authorize Computer"

Finally connect your iPod and let it sync your library to the new computer.

If you have any questions, post back here with that "add comments" button.

And if this helped, please be sure to hit the "thumbs-up" for me!

How do i set up my ipod for music

First you'll need iTunes, download it here. Once this is done plug your iPod into your computer, iTunes will prompt you to go through a quick and easy set up for your iPod, once this is done you can start importing songs from other media players such as Windows Media Player, or you import songs from CDs.
Hope this helps!

How do i transfer Music to my Iphone from my computer, Once plugged into the computer the songs that are currently in the iphone are unhighlighted and cannot move songs to or from the iphone.. Please help

You need to create a playlist for the iPhone. This isn't intuitive and I don't know why it's this way. It works great, there just isn't anything explaining what to do. This seems to snag Windows users the most. Maybe Mac users are already used to doing things this way? I don't know.

Below is a picture of my iTunes. Look down in the lower-left corner and see that my playlist is highlighted. At the very bottom-left corner you can click the plus sign to create a new playlist. Then drag all of the music you want to the playlist. Finally, in the music tab of your iPhone, make sure you click the playlist you just made to sync all music on that list to your phone.

This will do the trick.

to put your own music on it you will need to download the latest version of itunes

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

then create a library of music in itunes and plug your ipod into the computer and sync your ipod with itunes to download the music onto it.

If the ipod has music on it already then you can just scroll through the library on it to listen to the music, if it is not music you want, then follow the above advice and you will be able to copy your own music into itunes then sync it with your ipod.

Hope this helps

You can only transfer music from an ipod to a computer if they were purchased through itunes.

If that's the case, right click on your ipod's name under devices. Then click Transfer music.
