Question about E-Machines T6524 PC Desktop
Emachine T6524 bios suspected as POF
possible power surge overnight; windows had attempted to restart but, was hung
Windows XP will not boot, period - gets to winxp splash screen with the blue bars - hangs during blue bars - everytime
will not boot in safe mode / last known good / normal
will not boot from a winxp bootable cdrom such as barts pe or ultimate boot disk
bios has been cleared
all cards and driives have been removed - using alternate known good cdrom drive
RAM passes diags but has been swapped
system will boot from cd media into DOS where I can run diagnostics
no detected failures
scenario reminds of incorrect bios setting(s)
This isnt necessarily a bios problem mate , its just windows got corrupted during the power surge. Use the link below to do a repair install. Note , repair installs do not erase your personal files or setings or software !
