Navigate to Prefs on the home screen using the five-way button, then go to Touchscreen. You will then be able to realign the touchscreen using the stylus in a few steps.

Haha I love the Centro. You need to perform a system reset to the phone the directions are in your manual. Basically, the touch screen is screwed and by reseting it and following the prompts that should resolve your issue. You don't lose any information either so you have nothing to lose.
