Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

You have a clogged defrost drain tube, beneath the freezer evaporator (remove the back wall of the freezer compartment) there is a drip tray with a hole in it, the hole leads to the defrost drain tube- take a turkey baster and flush the drain with warm water until you hear it pour into the pan beneath the machine... Ice forming at bottom of freezer

I had a problem with Ice forming in the bottom of my freezer on my whirlpool side by side freezer-refrigerator. Turn out to be a plugged drain in the bottom of the freezer. That drain goes into a tray under the whole unit. During Defrost, condensate drops from the contents of the freezer on to the bottom of the freezer and goes through a drain tube to a pan underneath. Should that drain tube become plug and the water is left standing in the bottom of the freezer, it will turn back to ice after the defrost cycle is over. Once the drain tube is clean out, the problem goes away.

Not draining properly, water under veg. bins

Pull the veg. bin draws out and you'll see a hole that could be clogged with food or frozen water. First, clear away food if there is any. Then, pour boiling water into the drain and watch the bottom of the unit where it should be draining into a pan which will evaporate from the heat of the compressor.

My 5 year old fridge with freezer on top is collecting water and i don't know where it's coming from. not a lot of water but enough to make a mess is dripping onto the bottom shelf where the veg drawers...

Don't ask these guys. The problem is that the drain tube is plugged. This is the same issue I had and got no help. Go to the back of your fridge and dissconnect the black tube. That tube is probably plugged. Clean it out and reattach and your good to go. It took me 4 hrs using these guys and this is a 1/2 hr job. Good luck.

I have water standing below the veg. trays, not sure where it is coming. How do I find the drain lines.

The water comes from the accumulated moisture. Just
clean the drain at the back of the veg tray. Get you veg. tray out so you will find the drain.

Water dripping from bottom of freezer casing

Your drain line is frozen. Ice thawed by the heater in the freezer normally drains down a tube into a pan on top of the compressor, where it evaporates from compressor heat. If the drain freezes the water runs into the freezer bottom instead of the tube then into your fridge. To solve this remove everything from your freezer and remove the access panel in the back or bottom depending on your model of fridge. Turn off or unplug the appliance. Upon removing the panel(s). you will likely see that the bottom of the freezer is full of ice. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to thaw ice and remove. In the very back bottom you will uncover the drainhole. I usually use very hot water and a shop vac to thaw the drain hole. When you finally clear it you will hear water running into the pan on top of the compressor. Somethimes it takes a lot of hot water to clear the drain. Hope this helps!

Refrigerator has water leakage somewhere, which freezes up, i.e. on the veg casing, sometimes on top of jar lids, etc. We have cleaned out bottom, ovefflow pan was dry....

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
