Question about Emerson LC320EM8 32 in. LCD TV
When plugged in, my tv will not turn on or respond to either the remote control, or the manual buttons located on the top of the tv. The standby light (usually red), is not lit either.
It could be a blown fuse inside the TV or a power supply related problem.
If replacing the fuse doesn't fix the problem, the next thing to look at is the power supply board.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
