SOURCE: Plastic lock that holds in
I called Lexmark directly by phone and was offered a free replacement to be delivered within four to five working days with a free return label to send the "bad" machine back. In the meantime one of my employees found a solution and resolved the problem. The call was answered by a real person and solved in less than 5 minutes.
I am sure that your people are well trained but the language thing is a real problem. The guy just did not get the nature of the problem. Thanks anyway. Bob

If the spring did not damage the carriage flex I would suggest just using some epoxy to hold the spring properly in place. If the spring did damage the flex (as shown in this picture) then you might contact HP and enquire about an extended warranty for this issue. In the US call HP at 1-800-HPINVENt.

SOURCE: My printer is broke and I need a part.
sadly you can't buy them they are not available. Me being an HP authorized service center can't even order them. Same thing with the Diagram of the printer. I do know what part you are needing it happens often i would suggest you go to the DI or find some one with a old one that has stopped working and steal the part off of it that is the only way i have found to fix them

The part has been broken in my printer for over a year now. I hold the cartridge in with a rubber band.

You can order the part through Canon or get the part number from their service department and try ordering it 3rd party. Check your user's manual for a service toll-free contact number.
