Re: Space Bar

Only way that i see, is that you must go to a reseller to try u to arrange the pieces. There is no other way.

O want to install a new key . What are the steps ,please

A key falling off of a keyboard might be an annoyance, but it is not a reason to buy a new keyboard. Regardless of which key falls off, it can be replaced fairly easily. Although the method of replacing typical letter keys is a little different than replacing the space bar, replacing either of these types of keys can be done in a few minutes.

Carefully pry the key from the keyboard next to the key that has fallen off. This key can easily be pried by sliding a flat-head screwdriver underneath it and popping the key out. Be careful to make sure the key retainer underneath the key stays in place, especially if the key retainer has also fallen off the key you are attempting to fix. Look closely at the key retainer underneath the key that was just removed. Notice there is a notch in each corner of the key designed to hold the key in place. Place the key retainer back into place if it has fallen off the key you are trying to fix. Make sure it is positioned exactly as the key retainer next to it is. Put the key on top of the key retainer. Use your index finger to firmly push straight down on the key to lock the key back into place. Do the same to the key that was taken off to view the other key retainer. b> Replacing the Space Bar b> Turn the space bar upside down and use a flat-head screwdriver to separate the retainer from the back of the space bar key. Place the retainer into its place on the keyboard. The retainer will hook into small hooks on the left and right sides. The small metal bar from the retainer should line the bottom of the area where the space bar will be placed. Put the space bar back into the place where it belongs. Spread the ring finger, middle finger and index finger across the space bar, and push firmly until the key snaps into place. Put the space bar key back in place and gently press on it with fingers until it snaps back in place.

My Dell Latitude D630 spacebar came off. Nothing looks broken, but I can't get it back on.

If the hinge parts are not broken and are still in place then place the space bar over these parts, align it so it is in the correct position then press the space bar down until the hinges click into the space bar.

My space barc key pop up how do i put it back hp pavillion dv6000

With the notebook Keys there is normally a thin metal clippy thing (i know technical terms :P) and a few little notches on the keyboard plate and button itself. unless the clips have broken its normally quite easy to re attach the bar, all you need to do is but the metal thingy (again with the technical terms) into the clips of the spacebar, then align it to the clips on the keyboard plate, and genly push it till you hear it click into place.
Sometimes they set the Metal clippy thing backwards on to the space bar to help in the rising of the bar after it has been pushed.
if you would like some visual aids let me know and i will see what I can do for you .

Spacebar on IBM Lenovo ThinkPad X61 came off.

I took mine off to clean under it and had a similar problem. After a bit of struggling I figured it out. I will try to explain it as best as I can, but forgive the non-technical language:

There are two gray plastic pieces on the space bar that must be that must be latched to the two white plastic pieces on the computer. The gray pieces pop off the space bar easily. Take them and put them on the white pieces on the computer so that the white arms lay across (and snap into) the top and bottom of the gray piece. The middle of the gray piece will sit in between the two arms that are not "holding" the gray piece. Then take the space bar and put the metal part into the hole on one side (outside of the plastic pieces) and then push it over so you can put the opposite metal part into the other side. Then push the space bar straight down and it will snap into place.

Left side space bar does not work

The space bar on any PC is a single button you may need to make sure your keyboard is clear of any debris If that doesn't fix issue you will probably need to replace keyboard which is very easy to do.

My spacebar issticking.

Yup! you can do that.. carefully... i repeat, carefully pry-upward the space bar using a hard plastic card (I.D cards are best). Clean the hinge with a brush. Press down till you hear a click to return the key back to its position.

Fan noise and space bar issue

Heyo, the fan needs to be cleaned. Your environment air may be the culprit...if that is the case, I am sure the space bar is doing that for the same reason. If you can afford to take it to the shop to have the shell taken off and cleaned properly, I would do it.
