1.5 year old ge profile washing machine will not agitate or spin

my washing machine will fill up and run the cycle but will not agitate or spin then it drains and it's done...

Timer seems to have gone bad. Manually move the timer to make the dryer spin. If you get it to spin and drain then it's your timer.
