You can call up Convair from the yellow pages and buy one from them. I think this will be the best option, i dont think the belt will cost much either. And its the genuine belt for the cooler, not some generic belt. =)

Are you saying that, previously, there was a part with which you could attach your belt on to the machine, and now that part has gone missing? As in perhaps it broke and flew away into a corner somewhere?

Or are you saying the machine has never used a belt and you are just now finding this out because this is the first time you've gone mucking about in the back of the machine?

SUGGESTIONS:
1.) Check power cord
2.) Do lights work when machine is plugged in?

Hi John, your best bet for this, is to get the name and or number off of the belt, or take it off and go to any auto parts store and match it up. That's what we do in the field. If you try and order one, you will run in circles. Also, any appliance parts house will have one.

How do i reset the E2 code error on the aircon the model is convair supercool portiable unit

E-2..(Thermostat sensor)This error means that the unit has gone into a protection mode.

Check indoor coil sensor circuit closed. Check with ohms testing two ends, should read something. If it doesn't read any thing, replace the sensor.
