Where is the compressor cluth relay located on a 2005 Pontiac grand prix? I know of one in fuse box as well as a 10amp fuse. Both are believed to be good. Brand new a/c compressor and clutch. Clutch won't...

You say you believe the relay is good. Just a thought, I have had a couple cars where the same relay was used for several things. If you have the same relay for something else maybe you can swap them to see if it works. I did this by putting the A/C relay in place of the fuel pump relay and found the fuel pump relay was bad. If you do this and the car will not run long you know the relay is bad.

Ac compressor cluth is worn

Probably not a good idea as the drivebelt will wear out pretty fast. The belt may not have the proper grip to the pulley and will continually slip. Maybe the "cluth" is frozen and will not turn. Best to have an expert look closely at this.

I have a 1998 V6 and the A/C doesnt work,I already put directly 12 volt and click de cluth but I dont have power in the wires connections..I checked fuses and releys and nothing...somebody can help...

You have not down the most basic test, does the system have a full charge? The compressor will not run if it doesn't. Have the pressures checked by a shop with AC pressure guages to see if the system is low. If the system is low on charge find the leak before recharging it

A/c compreesr cluth stays on but no cool air

You replaced the ac compressor, and the clutch stays on, but the compressor does not run ???
Not sure I am following your info here.
If the ac clutch stays engaged the compressor should be running. You should have one hot and one cold ac line and the radiator fan should be running.

1994 olds 88 royale A/c wont start or charge 134a

AC clutch has to be energized for the compressor to turn and cool. Check out the thermostat as well as the low pressure cut off switch, relays for proper operation.

If you connect the 12 volts to the hot side of the clutch it should engage - if so that indicates that the issue is caused by some electrical item in line with the circuit that powers the clutch.

Air condition compressor will not turn on

Suggestions are - - Check the wiring to the clutch - ck for a blown fuse - ck for the press switch on the Accumulator tank (large silver tank at the firewall pass side) - Last ck for freon press. Trouble-shoot system - Try a 12vdc test light or volt/ohm meter and ck for 12volts power at the clutch, if you have no power and the a/c switch is in the on pos. in the cab. you have to ck the press switches and all related plugs and harnesses. Most likely shes low on freon.

My ac is not working on my 2000 mustang 3.8L. I'm getting power from the compressor and I had the clutch replaced. We jumped the low pressure switches and then replaced the fuses. The clutch will still not...

You were close! Most Fords have a CCRM (Continuous Control Relay Module) thats on the passenger side fenderwell. It has 4 relays: one for the AC compressor cluth, one for the fuel pump, and two for the electric fan (high- and low-speed.) The AC is the one that fails the most. You can replace the CCRM by removing the intake air filter box and working through the fenderwell openings. If it gets to difficult you must remove the wheel and splash cover to replace it from the wheel opening.

AC compressor not engaging

Hi, you should never bypass the compresor because it may cause damage to the sistem including the compresor, even if the sistem is charged if it gets a little low it may prevent the cluth to engage to prevent damage ,be sure that you have the proper freon presure.also check the ac relay and the fuse.....good luck
