SOURCE: Troy Bilt Trimmer 75SS stalls at full throttle. new gas
Hello. Let me assist you. Since your trimmer runs but stalls at ful throttle it is telling you that there is a fuel problem. Not enough gas is getting through the carbeurator to satisfy the engines needs on full throttle. Most likely the carbeurator is gummed up. A common problem. Let's see if we can un gum it by getting a can or carbeurtor cleaner. Go to any auto parts store and talk to the clerk about your need.

Once all the bolts are removed, tap all the way around, (with a rubber mallet), where the head meets the bottom portion of the motor. It should come right off with a little coaxing.

SOURCE: How do you disasemble the head on the 4 cycle gas
the head is bolted down by 4 torque bit screws some people call them star wrenches from the top but all plastic & carb needs to be removed more less everything to get to the bolts around the cylinder head as well as crankcase but to be honest its cheaper to buy a new one then repair it i had one repaired it & by the time i replaced everything i could have bought a new one cheaper then the parts cost me
SOURCE: I need to replace the head on a troy bilt TB575 ES
at the end of the trimmer where the cutting head assembly connects to the gear box there are some screws. unscrew and replace with the universal head.

sounds like your flex cable has taken a trip south. Pull the shaft off the head and take a look at the flex cable. If flex cable is ok, they your clutch is defective.
