Agreed, there is no L1-18 code listed in the service manual. You're sure you don't mean F1-18?

I don't see a reference to a L1-18. A L1 code is a scanner feed problem. I only show a L1-00 code. Sorry.

this is a scanner problem that can be associated with the scanner lock under the scanner bed. make sure the lock is in the 'unlocked' position. it is easy to move this when lifting the scanner bed to reload the ink blocks. if this does not solve the problem you may have to replace the scanner assembly. hope this helps.

Canon ir7105 finisher unit is not working..!

The finnisher is only in disable by a a disable funcktion that switch the finnisher off.It just need a reset in the service mode.I am not alowed to give service info on the net.Ask your local service centre to clear the funcktion for you.You dont have to replace the finnisher. This is normally a paperjam or a opstical that prevented the trays to move up and down. Then the finnisher go to disable funcktion
Thanks for you support

I have a ip5000 that has service error code 5100

I had the same problem. all i did was open the printer up and moved the thing that holds the cartridges to the middle by hand. mine seems to be working fine.

Tips:
#1 Move the cartridge holder back to the right manually, but carefully - close lid and turn the printer off, then on again.

#2 Move the printer cartridge and shut down three times, but it finally kicked in and started working again. Don't give up just trying it once.

Good luck!

Fault has occured error code 103-208

First off. look around carefully and be certain everything is plugged in properly. Sometimes that code is caused my mis communication between the document feeder and machine, scanner and machine, finisher and machine, etc. I would follow all the connectors back and disconnect, then reconnect them.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, then remove the back cover and reseat all the connectors you can see on circuit boards.
With moving the machine, I am pretty sure you have a connector problem. But the 116 and 103 codes are related to software and mostly due to mis communications between the device peripherals.
Also on a hunch, just try to remove the RJ 45 network connector and turn the machine on. If there happens to be some odd job, something like an internet print job on that line, it will shut the machine off with that 116 code you reported.
Let me know and we will go from there.

I have a Canon Imagerunner 7095 copier and keep getting the same error code when I attempt to start the copier: Error Code E000532-8001. Any suggetsions

There is something wrong with the finnisher, check if the stapler unit is not stucked and in the home possition.Check if the finnisher trays is not stucked.
If it is an external finnisher you can unplug it and move it away from the machine.and you will be able to carry on copping wile wating for tech support.

Error code E000584-0001

Hello Wyatt,
It took me a moment or two to find the explanation to this error. It appears you have a saddle stitch finisher as that distinguishes the error code. Canon does not lump all error codes together (concerning all available peripherals) in one spot. In brief, the code means that the second feed motor (which will initialize at start up/and only pertains to the saddle stich feature) was not recognized as acting properly. When the machine starts up it checks a tremendous amount of inputs and outputs and the second feed motor (m8) is one of those. The controller pcb of the finisher told the main controller of the copier that "m8" did not perform it's function. To simplify the diagnostics, either the motor did nut turn, or the shutter it drives is bound, or the finisher pcb has lost its mind, or best of all the copier is misinterpretting the data from the finisher pcb. I know this does not fix your problem, but at least you know where to look and what to look for. And if "copier dude" (which I am one) says you need a new SPLEEN you can tell him to go to hell !!! I wish I could be of more help.....and I can be for a nominal fee.......( plane tickets, hotel, mixed drinks) lol

Lid Error

Most systems either have a photo interrupter or a switch on the top to let the copier know its closed. Since you had it moved most likely they knocked it out of its position.Or broke the tab or plunger off.

Cant move off manual settings screen

okay, unplug your internet modem for 15 min, keep the connection to the PS3, of course. do automatic settings, not manual, select easy but DO NOT GO FURTHER until you plug in your internet. Let it cycle, the modem may shut down. if/when it does, turn it on and continue. The PS3 should automatically find everything by itself. Confirm then test the settings.
