Question about Whirlpool 24 in. DU1100XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Runs 2 minute rinse only

We have a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher and two nights ago it started only doing a 2 minute only rinse. We have had an issue before where it was not draining properly that we solved by flipping the breaker off for 20 minutes that reset the board according to the repair guy. Any suggestions?

Whirlpool Gold dishwasher not cleaning dishes. It runs through the cycles and rinses, but dishes are not completely clean.

I had a similar problem with my last two dishwashers, with food still left on the dishes at the end of the cycle. What a nightmare. The most recent dishwasher is new, now the problem is solved. Here's what the manufacturer told me. Pour white vinegar (approximately 2 cups) into the dishwasher and run through the cycle. Buy some Cascade Complete and only use this type of soap for the dishwasher. Make sure you run a cup or two of the white vinegar through the dishwasher cycle once a week. My dishes are now clean and clear!!

My whirlpool gold dishwasher runs wash and rinse cycles, but there is no water in the bottom of the washer.

the drain hose had slipped off its clamp at the back and there was no air gap to prevent siphoning. Replaced clamp, and hopefully this works.

Two horizontal dashed line and won't start

A dishwasher operates in a hostile environment. Eventually the corrosive soap can damage the electrics & the electronics. If you have the skills, I suggest you turn off the breakler to the diswasher, then dissassemble the console & control board. Spray the contacts with WD40, & reassemble. The very sliding-action of dissassembly/reassembly should cure any contact issues. I hope that this helps.

"clean" light is blinking

Check the following:
1. Is the overfill protection float able to move up and down
freely? Press down to release.
2. Be sure the water supply is turned on to the dishwasher.

3. Check for suds in the dishwasher. If foam or suds are
detected by the dishwasher sensing system, the
dishwasher may not operate properly or may not fill with
water.
Suds can come from:
1. Using the incorrect type of detergent, such as
laundry detergent, hand soap, or dish detergent for
hand washing dishes.
2. Forgetting to replace the rinse aid dispenser cap
after filling (or refilling) the rinse aid, or spilling rinse aid into the tub (rinse aid causes suds to occur).
3. Using an excessive amount of dishwasher detergent.

Whirlpool gold builtin dishwasher

Do not recommend premeasured tablets, usually too much soap. If pre-rinsing dishes use only 1 or two teaspoons of soap in the main wash cup..do not put soap in the prewash cup. Excess soap can cause oversudsing and make the soil sensor think the dishes are real dirty initiating additional wash cycles. Use rinse-aid for better drying performance
