SOURCE: Samsung RF267 water tastes terrible.

If new plumbing, system is flushing and may cause a bad taste or odd color.Has a food item spoiled?
Make sure that strong smelling food (for example, fish) is wrapped so that it
is airtight.
Clean out your freezer periodically and throw away any spoiled or suspect food. Place foods in airtight containers to prevent the transfer of odors. And also Flush out water hose from tap end to freezer with warm water And also clean fridge with wet cloth (with soap solution). And then clean with dry cloth. .Keep fridge door open after cleaning all compartments for 4hrs minimum, as fresh air could wipe out any bad odor in fridge. And then start using fridge. Hope, it's helpful.

The water is coming from a leaking water tank behind the deli/meat tray. It only leaks when you use the water dispenser. You will need to disassemble the deli drawer to get to the water tank and replace the water tank. FOR THE WASHER, call Samsung for service. You may have a control board problem.

Model #JSD2789GE Refrigerator - Is there a turn off val for the water line where it connects at the back of the refrigerator? Please help. Many thanks.

Yes there is a small twist valve, generally in a recessed area, where you attache the feed line to the refrigerator. If not so then the water would run out all over the place. If not, then there is a water cutoff under the house that cuts all of the water off, however this does not seem to be the problem, so there must be a cutoff on the feed line hook up.

Water dispenser keeps freezing GE Refrigerator

If this is a newer model GE side by side refrigerator, this is not uncommon. what you can do to check to see what is going wrong, remove the toe plate at the bottom front of the unit. Under the freezer door, you will see a white plastic water line, with an inline connector about 4-5" from where the line comes out the bottom of the door. this is normally a blue push-in type connector. On this connector, you will see two white sleeves on either side, push in on this sleeve while pulling the corresponding water line section out of the connector, if you squeeze the sleeve enough, the water line will slip right out. Place a towel on the floor, make sure both ends are on top of towel. Now, breifly actuate your water dispenser trigger, see if water comes out the exposed water line. If water comes out, your entire water dispenser system is OK, but, the water line in the freezer door is frozen, in which case the only way to melt it, is to turn the unit off, open the freezer door, and blow a fan for a few hours, to melt the ice INSIDE the door. You could also buy a new door, but that is very costly.
If no water comes out the exposed water line, then either your water filter is clogged, or you have a bad water valve solenoid

No water/ice

HI. First, you will need to rule out any standard issues that will cause this. Check the internal, and external feed lines for any obstructions. Make sure that the internal lines are not frozen, or kinked. If the lines check out ok, move on to the water filter(if equipped).

In most units, there will be a filter, present. These devices are set to operate on a particular time frame. If their filtering limit is met, the filter will stop filtering water, thus, not allowing the fluid to flow, at all. Make sure that the filter is up to date. If you have verified that the filter is ok, move on to the water inlet valve assembly.

The water inlet valve is located behind your refrigerator. Find the water supply line coming into the valve and turn it off at the source (typically under the sink). Disconnect the supply line. Remove the screws that secure the inlet valve in place.

The water inlet valve is connected by two wires. Label the wire placement on the water inlet valve before disconnecting the wires. The wires are connected to the terminals with slip on connectors

Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If the connectors are corroded they should be replaced.

Inspect the filter screen where the supply line connects. Remove any debris or deposits that may have built up using a toothbrush, or warm running water. If you cannot clear the clog, it will be necessary to replace the valve (the filter is not removable on most inlet valves).

Test the water inlet valve for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X100 (if available, otherwise use the nearest ohm setting). Place a probe on each terminal. The multimeter should display a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. Close inspection of the inlet valve and especially the coil may reveal the exact ohm resistance rating to test for. If the water inlet valve does not pass this test, it should be replaced.

No water is coming out of the door dispenser.

The most common cause for this problem is a blocked line. The line comes from the water valve at the bottom rear of the refrigerator to the water dispenser. Usually, you can locate the line at the bottom of the freezer door. Oftentimes, it has connectors where you can pull it apart. Try to determine where the blockage is. If you can locate it, run something up the line to remove the blockage. I have had success using plastic weedeater line to do this.

The other possibilities would include a malfunctioning water valve and a malfunctioning water dispenser switch. However, I would check for a blockage first.
