Question about Ford 8n,9n,2n, Tractor Starter With Drive
My Ford 601 starts fine and idles great. I take it to the field and within 15 minutes it starts to cut out. I have taken the card off and cleaned out and replaced plugs. Still doing the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi..my name is Keith..and i restore 9N's,2N's and 8N's...but the systems are basically the same...so..you know and i know its either ignition or fuel..on the ignition side..i would suspect either the condensor or coil is breaking down when the engine gets hot...and on the fuel side..if you have already cleaned the carb..i would suspect trash in the fuel tank or trash in your sediment bowl and valve..which can be cleaned or replaced..i hope this will help..its the simplest thing to check or replace..if it didnt help..please write back
