How to install whatsapp in my ipad - Tablets & eReaders

Whatsapp is a messenger for the phone. You must have a Phone number on the device. So till now, Apple did not allow an App for this service on the app store.
As already some programs are available for PC and Android tablets, I think it is just a matter of time till Apple will allow an App for the iPad. Till then? wait, or jailbreak your device, to get such an app from Cidya. (Not sure they do have an App.

if your tablet hasnt a sim card in you will not be able to use whatsapp as it needs a mobile phone sim to work from

It could be one of two things. Either the app isn't compatible with your iPad (the version of WhatsApp Messenger that I'm looking at is only for iPhone), or the Apple servers sometimes have so many requests that they can't deal with all of them at once. If the app is available for iPad, just wait a while and try again.

There is no whatsapp for an iPad. Whatsapp is a messaging app that can send and receive messages from and to phone numbers. Even if your iPad gas G 3 or even G 4 it does not have a phone number to call. So it (not yet) does not work on tablets or computers

There isn't an official version of the "Whatsapp" app for the iPad as yet, however you could download and use the iPhone version, however you need to bear in mind that being the iPhone version the display will only take up a limited amount of screen space on your iPad.
