MZD2766GES: How do I level the doors?

I can't find our manual and our doors are not level. The fridge side needs to be raised. Can you walk me through the process? The manual is not available on the Maytag site.

Re: MZD2766GES: How do I level the doors?

The door needs to be level, or the whole side of refrigerator. Pull off black strip at bottom front, there should be screws on either side to level the fridge. goodluck

Service manual

Having the area around the door getting warm is normal but getting hot may indicate a defective condenser fan motor or the condenser coils have become blocked with dust. You are going to need to unplug power, pull your refrigerator away from the wall, remove the front kick plate and the rear cover on the back of your refrigerator to get to the condenser coil and fan just to see what is going on. If the fan is not running strong when plugged in then there may be a problem with the=> 61005323 Condenser Fan Motor Above is a video that will help you on cleaning the condenser coils. If you think there is a problem with the fan motor and would like my assistance please let me know. As for a service manual I don't believe there is one for your model number. I do have a manual that is basically the same thing if you like? Thanks Sea Breeze

The fridge door won't close all the way , is there an adjustment on the hinges

Check the bottom fridge door hinge. There should be two plastic cams, one that mounts to the door and one that mounts to the hinge. From your discription it sounds as if thoes cams have broke and need to be replaced

The refrigerator door will not stay close. Is there an adjustment that needs to be made? How can I fix this??

Check the magnet seal around the inside pf the door and make sure they are grabbing. You can put the front legs of the fridge down a little more so it gives the doors a back swing when closing. Make sure your hinges are set plume (level) of the doors will not close right at all. Kids hanging on the doors will do this.

MZD2766 fridge light works but the fridge does not

The only thing you need to do is let us test the auto vent. Yes you may need to take it out but it has a thermostat built into it. Drop the pig tail in cold icy water and warm the thermostat pigtail. If door does not open or shut replace it.Tell me your freezers temp?

Door not closing properly

Hi: The Kitchenaid refs. us a gravity close along with the magnets in the door seals. Magnets getting weak seals getting old and what you told me you checked can cause this. The easy fix is to raise the front of the fridge by lowering the front wheels. Pull the grill off the front and find the leveling screws (usually labeled.) Raise the front of the fridge until the doors swing shut with a gentle push. Before you replace the grill make sure the fridge dosn't rock side to side as you want it even. This is what they call leveling a fridge. Not cabinet level. Just sturdy. Hope I helped, Jeff

Fridge door is lower then freezer door

The #1 cause for this problem: The floor beneath the fridge is uneven, causing the refrigerator "box" to be out of square. Adjust the levelers on the fridge bottom to compensate for the uneven floor. That should do it.

Doors stay open and need a push to close.

hi vicki,

i wouldn't recommend raising the front of your fridge, as the icemaker will not continue functioning.

from your problem description above, sounds like you need to check the door gaskets and make sure that the doors are not misaligned.

Door adjustment

Move the left side leveling leg down (counter clockwise) and this will raise up the left side of the fridge also raising the door.  Let me know if this helps.

Maytag MZD2766GES side-by-side Refrigerator warm

is it frozen up? do you have any air flow thru the air tunnel from the freeze to the fridge? Check your air flow with the door switch pushed in. also check to see if the damper door opens... 1) if it is iced up you have a defrost problem. most likely a defrost timer. Turn off or unplug untill all the ice has melted off the evaporator back of the freezer..plug back in and it will work fine untill the ice builds up again. if this work you do have a defrost problem.. if not let me know and we can go deeper...
