This problem depends on your motherboard manufacturer. Check the supplied link to troubleshoot the problem. If you get stuck write back.

Generally 3 long beeps indicates a memeory problem cant tell you for sure without knowing exactly what bios the computer is using. have a look here.

My w3611 emachine froze and will not boot up. I get three beeps if I try. I am thinking it might be the processor, onboard graphics, or the bios.

Well if it's 3 short beeps then its a RAM failure. If its 1 long and two short then it;s a video monitor issue. 3 long beeps is a keyboard or keyboard card error.

My E-Machine T6544 will not boot up - monitor reads no signal, but fan and hard drive seem to be running on the tower

Do you hear any beep codes?

Your BIOS manufacturer's site will explain in full the beep codes you're experiencing. The beeps you are explaining is your system failing the POST (power on checks), it emits a series of beeps to tell you the precise nature of the problem. Beep codes are BIOS-specific. The following BIOS sites should help you. You must however first, identify which BIOS you've got.
Award http://www.phoenix.com/pcuser/BIOS/award_error_codes.htm
Phoenix http://www.phoenix.com/pcuser/PDF-Files/bios-postcode.pdf
AMI http://www.ami.com/support/ For all other bioses try http://www.abios.com
Or try these alternative sites:

On boot up the emachine now beeps every 5 seconds

Reboot with "F8" held down.
you are only booting to bios and minimum disk software. This may give you an indication of your monitor or video driver status.

If you can borrow another monitor from someone, that would confirm your monitors status....

No signal to monitor

Hello,

Try go to bios setup and then try resetting bios by selecting the bios default setting. and then look up for the configuration regarding your monitor setting or try to enabled that setting.

You can manipulate the bios setting ...don't forget to save the setting.

then try rebooting the system.

Power goes off when power button is released

More than likely it is a dead motherboard

however....

you can try to reset the BIOS and see if that fixes it. To reset the BIOS, UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM YOUR COMPUTER (FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE A DEADLY SHOCK) open your computer. Discharge and body static by touching the side of the computer. Remove the BIOS/CMOS battery which looks like an oversized watch battery. Leave it our for 1-8 hours. Replace the battery and cloase your case. plug in the power cord and try to turn on teh computer. If this fails then you have a dead motherboard taht you have to replace

Emachine t3958/d845gvsr mobo

try resetting your bios.. reset it to system defaults.. check all connections properly.. pc to monitor..etc etc..
if you mean no error code by "no bios beeps" then it's okay..
if you mean even the regular single beep after post is not heard than chances are high that your video card has some problem.

My computer (emachines T5212) beeps at me

These are called beep codes and there should be a pattern of long and/or short beeps which will repeat. Once you identify the pattern we can help figure this out for you.
