I have an Acer Aspire 3690 with a Celeron Processor, 1 GB RAM, Windows Vista Business, a Kyocera Passport EVDO modem to connect to Internet and I have Internet Connection Sharing enabled to allow another PC to access the web. When I am browsing, either from the Acer or from the other PC, very often the Acer hangs and the only thing I can do is pressing the power button to turn it off.
Anyone can help? Thanks in advance
An operating system hanging indicates that either the program you are using, or the operating system itself, has crashed. The easiest way to eliminate hangs is to start up the computer from your Windows installation disc, and then either choose to Repair your installation, Restore the installation or install a new Windows OS. Your computer came with a recovery option that lets you "reset" or recover to a known "good point". Hold down the "Alt" key and then hit the "F10" key (both at once) to activate the feature, and then follow the on-screen directions.

If I do not have a streaming application running my system (XP) will go into standby before even startup has completed. I have changed the Power saving option to "never" standby, but no luck. It seems to be a security issue but I cannot find any setting.
