Hi there Lauren,
I think I've got you covered on this one.
I'd like to offer up a two solutions.
One may be the solution to the disappearing cursor.
Failing that, the other addresses the symptoms, instead of the problem, sort of a sideways solution. Hopefully the result will be satisfactory.
- Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Double-Click Mouse
- Click on the Pointer Options Tab
- In the Visibility Box, is the 'Hide cursor while typing' option checked?
- If so, uncheck it.
- If not, below it is an option to 'Show location of cursor when I press Control Key'. Check it.
- Click Apply. Click OK
If the first option doesn't fix the mystery, the second will show the location of the cursor when you press the Control Key. One or the other will make that cursor show itself.
