Question about Computers & Internet
I have a dell latitude d610 and a LaCie design by F.A. porsche 500GB External Hard Drive. when i try to connect the hd, the laptop freezes. i've tried with the laptop to connect it and turn it on but it gets stuck in BIOS. the LaCie has worked on other pcs so i can't figure out how to get them to work together.
I am assuming the external is connected while booting up, if so then the laptop may be seeing this unit as a bootable drive. You would need to enter into the BIOS of the laptop and change or make sure the external drive (i.e usb connection) is disabled. Save and reboot with the ext disconnected, log into windows and when it has finished loading, connect ext drive. I hope this helps.
