Airport Extreme problem with MacBook 2.2 Ghz

I have a Mac Book 2.2 Ghz, 13", 4 gig RAM, Mac OS 10.5.7, and sometimes when I reboot, the computer doesn't recognize the Airport card. I ran the hardware test and it says that everything is ok. Is it a software compatibility problem? Is it common to Mac Book 2.2 Ghz? Thanks!
