Not really, the battery is going to be needed to power the rewind motor.

To try and open the camera, remove the film and rewind it will all have to be done in complete darkness and under such conditions you're likely to break something.

$7.16 is all you need for that battery including shipping:-

For my pentax 160 Iq zoom, I can load the film into the camera but I still can not take any pictures. What can I do? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Does that camera have a battery to advance the film and operate the unit? U might just want to check that out and replace the battery. If nothing happens with new battery, then the camera is fubar.

I have an old Canon 105 zoom sure shot. I want to get the old film out but the battery is dead. I don't want to purchase a new battery. How can I accomplish this? Thank you reedcm@verizon.net

If you have a changing bag, you can put the camera inside, open the back, remove the film, and rewind it by hand. You can also do the same in a darkroom (a photographic darkroom, not just a dark room). A good camera store can do it, though you'll probably also have to have the film processed there.

If you have any plans to use the camera in the future, you may as well invest in a battery now. You can take the battery out of the camera and set it aside to preserve the charge.

Help Pls... i have a polaroid spectra 1200i i cant find where to load the batteries ?? there is already film inside from the previous owner. but no idea where the batteries go.

Late model Polaroid film cameras used a thin lithium battery incorporated into the film pack. There were no separate batteries. If your camera won't function, perhaps the battery in the film pack has gone bad during long storage, in which case you will need to replace the film pack and won't be able to use the remaining film.

I have acquired a Pentax IQZoom 700 as a gift. I'm not sure what kind of batteries it takes though, as it did not come with a manual. Can anyone help me?

The IQ-Zoom 700 uses two 3V Lithium batteries (CR-123A or DL-123A). You can order a new manual for $8 from Pentax: http://www.pentaximaging.com/support/manuals-and-literature/ . Use the drop down menus to select your model.

I hope this helps.

Dear Haley

Perform the following steps:
  1. Power off the camera.
  2. If you have a memory card in the camera, remove it.
  3. Remove the camera's batteries, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
  4. Reset the camera. For this refer to your camera's User's Manual.
  5. Reinstall the batteries.
  6. Power on the camera.
This should work.please rate this solution.Thank you.

i think it means the film hasn't loaded properly. I had this and opened up the back and the film hadn't wound so it wasn't exposed. Anyway i just wound the film around a bit and shut the back and it turned on like normal. hope this helps.

Have the same problem (Guest). Spoke to a Fuji film agent who said that a person had this problem and fixed it by removing batteries and card, place the camera in two seal plastic bags and leave in freezer over night.Take out next morning and leave for a few hours, then insert card and batteries.
I tried twice without success.

Type of batteries

Olympus recommends the use of Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries or Olympus CR-V3 (LB-01) long-life disposable lithium batteries. The batteries are only used to power the camera. The print engine in the C-211 Zoom is powered by a battery pack self-contained inside each Polaroid® Type 500™ film pack.
