Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
Bought a new E-machine and can connect to internet but cannot access web sites unless in safe mode.
This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings.
What i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the network adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the network card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

That is a BAD THING! You never want to surf the web in safe mode, you have no protection from all the nasty beasties that live in www, you may have inadvertently allowed malware into your pc. Let's assume you have not and maybe the firewall settings are preventing your access.
I will assume you are using IE x, (Internet Explorer ver 7 or 8) open control panel, then internet options, then security, then reset all zones to default level. Hopefully this will solve the problem, if not then more information will be needed as to what kind of "protection software'" you have installed, it may need fine tuning.

Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore and select a Restore Point (date and time) before you started having this problem. System Restore does not delete any of your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore date you selected).
If you have Windows 7 just click Start and type in System Restore in the search box above the start and look up to see the results and click System Restore.
