Question about Cameras

1 Answer

The battery on my Casio EX-Z1000, even the newly replaced one, drains completely in a couple of days with the camera not in use. Is there a way to save the battery charge while the camera is ''idle'' other than just removing the battery (assuming that will even help - haven't tried that yet)?

You most likely have water corrosion in your camera creating a short. Most people never relies that they received water into a camera as a simple spill from a glass can go unnoticed.

Battery getting drain quick.

Hi joeycb805,

Just take out the battery and check if it has become kind of fluffy, if it has , then it's time for you to get a new battery as this fluffiness indicates worn out battery.

Hope this helps ..:) Let me know if you have any further queries.

Asks for settings config every time it is turned on

hi.the problem of your camera is the capacitor that you can found from the main board.the capacitor works as battery for the internal setting like your date and time even you remove the battery the setting still there. but once its damage you need to replace.if you can replace its better but if not bring to service center and for sure they will not charge you too much.

thank you
