How do i know if it safe to drink from a pewter flask made in Thailand?

Marking on bottom is drawing of elephant head with words Thailand, Siam, pewter inside the circle. Flask was purchased in 1970s in Thailand. Found with alcohol in it. Could be corroded inside? High lead content?

Pewter is usually 95% tin and used for eating utensils for thousands of years. The alcohol should prevent corrosion since it would imped air from getting to the interior. It is very unlikely you will get lead poisoning from drinking it. It is far more likely you will get sick from the alcohol being improperly stored for 40+ years and has gone bad. By the way, alcohol will do that.

The WRITE PROTECTION is ON. Please push the little white button on the side to the other end. Then try access it on your computer. If it still gives the same error, push the button to the other end and try again.

SOURCE: how to remove the write

Usually usb sticks don't have a write protect option. But some models that do have that option. Look for a small switch on your usb stick.

How can I know if this flask is safe to carry alcohol in?

That's rather iffy.

Some pewters use lead, which will leach into the contents.

How does a thermos work?

A thermos is a vacuum flask that has two flasks. One flask is in the other flask and they are joined at the top. The gap doesnt have a lot of air. This makes a near-vacuum with the prurpose of stopping the transfer of heat or cold. Therefore, the thermos keeps a drink hot or cold.

I put whiskey in my metal flask and 24 hours later it tastes like metal. Is that normal?

It's normal if the flask is made of inexpensive metal. My recommendation is that you either use a more costly metal flask you simply drink faster!

How does rhe hot and cold water hook up on a 71-40d which is which top and bottom

Tanks are marked with Hot and Cold.
1) If water connections are on top of tank, look for red marking or word HOT that shows where hot water pipe connects. Look for blue marking or word COLD that shows cold water connection.
2) If water connections are on side of tank, cold water connects to bottom one, and hot connects to top.

3) If hot and cold are reversed, the tank will not work.
Pipes on top of tank: cold water enters tank and is sent to bottom of tank in a long tube called the dip tube. This means the cold is on the bottom since hot water rises to the top. The hot water exits top of tank.
Pipes on side of tank: You want cold water to enter bottom, so hot water naturally rises to the top outlet.

Fan Problem

sometimes a remote draws moisture either from the air or someone spilling a drink on it. i'm not saying this is the problem but it's worth a shot. take apart your remote. don't worry, remotes are usually the shell, rubber buttons, and the little green board. not much to lose and easy to put back together. take a dry cloth and wipe off the green plate front and back. try not to touch it but on the sides. replace it back together and try it out.
