I have a insignia ns-pdp50hd-09 plasma tv that has sound but no picture

You may try using the power switch on the TV itself instead of the remote. I have had trouble where the remote turn on doesn't work for the video, holding down on remote button longer seem to help.

Also you may want to try another input to the TV -so connect up input wires from your cable/sat to another one.

We just bought a NS-PDP50HD-09 Insignia 50" plasma

Although we would not be able to assist you with power issue you're having with your TV, I can assure you that the issue with your new HD Insignia TV not turning on has nothing to do with the DISH Network receiver you have connected to it.

Since the power light is on the standby circuit is working fine and it is cutting up on powering the circuits, so either it could be a safety trigger or a failer. you will need to cross check by omission flow charting to find out if it is the Main power or the drive power.Check for dry joints or loose connection by tapping the main board to see any reaction to start up. good luck

Insignia ns-pdp50hd: power went dead, no standby

This could be your Power Supply Module or your Main board. I suggest taking it in for a diagnostic check.

Insignia plasma model ns-pdp50hd-09: When powered on the unit functions great for 15-20 minutes and then slowly begins to fade out to a black screen while audio maintains output.

if you want to narrow it down a bit-go to radio shack get some freeze spray.remove back-lay it down -use a blow dryer to heat each board till it goes out-then use the freeze to cool each board down till it works-do it a few times to make sure you get the rite board---now go to shopjimmys.com to find your board
