Is the screen fuzzy? i found this solution on Google when it happened to mine. Try pressing hard just under the bottom right hand corner of the screen with your thumb (and second or third finger on the top). Squeeze hard! it works every time for my camera. hope it works for yours. Good luck.

Your screen has 2 part, the actual image produced on the LCD and the backlight. You are only getting the backlight. The camera will have to be taken apart. Replacing the LCD MAY solve the problem.

Screen is white

OK, two possible problems but first, turn off and unplug everything.
Set everything up and try a different monitor (borrow one from a friend or plug into flat screen tv)
If this gives same result then your graphics chip is dead. Replace graphics card.
If your pc doesn't have a graphics card to replace then there's probably something else wrong on the motherboard so you'll probably need to replace this.
If it does work on a borrowed monitor/tv then you monitor is faulty and needs replacing.

When I take a picture, then look at the LCD screen, all the white areas flash black then white. If I download the pictures everything is fine. Is something set wrong? Also for no reason the flash stopped...

The blinking indicates blown-out highlights. Those are the areas of your pictures that have been overexposed into pure white. This is generally considered a bad thing, and the correct fix in most cases is to reduce the exposure to bring back details. Losing details in the shadows is generally more acceptable. But this is just a warning: the camera doesn't know what effect you're trying for.

While viewing a picture, pressing up/down on the multiselector cycles through the different available views of the picture.

White and fuzzy screen

Hey mea411,
What you should do is have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. There is most likely something wrong with the LCD screen itself. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Blank screen

Usually it's an lcd burn out where the screen needs replacement. Check the display button if it's just blank then press it to see if it comes on. As far as your friends white screen it not feasible to repair. A good thing to get on any digital equipment is an extended warranty. It does save you in the end when something goes wrong. The limited manufacture warranties are a joke. You should never rely on them.
