Are you talking about the rubber adapter from the carb to manifold? if it allows extra air to bypass the carb, you will have idle issues. more importantly, at speed, it will lean out your mixture and allow the engine to run hot. it could be a cause of cough back through the carb also. it could cause high speed miss too.

Vacuum leak symptoms

Hi Werner, you can spray starting fluid or Brake Kleen around intake manifold to head and intake manifold to carburator, if RPM's rise you have a leak. Also check for cracks in vacuum line from carburator to fuel valve. Your carburator came from the factory set up on the lean side for maximum 42-50 MPG. The spark plugs will burn a very lite tan to white color usually white. If you are happy with your gas milage and performance and your oil temperature is between 180 and 220 then let sleeping dogs lay/lie. Good luck

Clicking from front passanger side wheel

continuous velocity joint going bad (CV JOINT). will need to be replaced, may go out at anytime, or may last a good while. likely reason is boot was cracked and grease was lost, so over time the joint gets heat cracked, and eventually breaks and bearings come loose leaving veh imobile (won't effect engine, wheels just won't move)

How do i take the carb out of my crf150r 2007 to clean it

fairly easy first remove throttle cable it unscrews like a coke bottle at the top of the carbureator. then remove fuel lines be sure to mark them if there are more than one next remove clamps that hold air intake onto carbureator. it may be stiff so be careful not to crack it by forcing it. finally unbolt carbureator from engine should be two bolts one on each side. hope this helps

Two tubes leave carburator and goes to gas tank. One has come loose and I dont see where it goes

1 tube is a fuel line and 1 tube is a vacuum line

The big one is the gas line which goes to the petcock.

The smaller one is a vacuum line which also goes to the petcock.

That is a vacuum operated petcock, which works off the vacumm off the intake side of the carb.
the intake side is the engine side, the other side of the carb is airbox side.
There should be a nipple sticking out of the carb on top on the intake side.
If not then the nipple is on the intake boot itself, on top.
The intake boots are on the engine side of the carb and the airbox boots are the opposite side.

I just purchased a 2003 blast and having trouble when starting it spits and sputters a little then it idles really really high....what do you think? Also, can you disconnect the automatic choke and hook a...

Buell Blasts have a known issue involving the carb boot. If the bike is a couple of years old check out the rubber spacer/conector which is betwwen the carb and the engine. Chances are that it is cracked and allowing air to enter direcly. This will cause your bike to sputter and have starting issues. Chck this out first and if it is not this then check the spark plug what color is the ceramic electrode and tip. This will tell you alot about what is going on inside the engine. The carb boot is a cheap fix less than 20 bucks. Good luck Brian

Leaf blower does not respond when increasing throttle and engines

Unit is either having trouble picking up enough fuel or muffler is plugged. First disassemble the muffler and check that the flame arrestor screen is not clogged. Clean as needed. Cost, $0. Check fuel pickup line from fuel tank to carbureator for cracks. Replace if brittle or cracked. Next would be to check the diaphram in the carbureator. Even a small hole or crack can cause this problem.

Won't complete the boot up

As far as the rebooting is concerned id check the bios boot order make sure it can see the HDD. You normally recieve that blinking cursor when it cant find the HDD or boot device.
Also have you tried using hte restore cd's It's a bit of a last resort effort but my guess is your HDD is dead if you attempt to run the Restore CD's and they fail it pretty much means its the HDD.
The cracking noises will be from the speaker wires either loose or touching something else causing a static type effect. Fix is to adjust wires possibly replace them. Not easy to do by yourself. Unlikely that the speakers are affecting the reboot though.
Other possibility is a faulty mainboard capacitors that will definatley rebooting to occur.
Let me know how you go with the bios and restore discs or if you need further help.

How do i begin adjusting the carbs?

1st-clean air filter and oil, fresh plugs, good fuel, valves adjusted correctly, check for tears or cracks in intake boots, fire in all cylininders;minimum compression & w/in10% of each other in all cylinders, and no exhaust gasket leaks. once these components are w/in specs. and operable the carburators can be adjusted, as long as they are internally clean and operating as designed.1st- set high idle, then set idle rpm, now synchronize vacuum on carburator set,now readjust idle rpm.
