Ok, the manifold comes off with eight bolts, four on top and four on the bottom. they are 9/16 head bolts so use a 9/16 short socket for the bottom, you will need a 3/8 extension for the top bolts about six inches long and make sure you remove all vacuum lines, fuel lines and take the exhaust pipe apart. the manifold should pull out after that. i recommend you take the bottom bolts out first as they are the hardest to get to.

as far as the oil pressure is concerned, the oil pressure switch is probably bad. that would cause the oil pressure to read low. the oil pressure switch is located Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, above oil pan, mounted in engine block.

I have a 1996 grand Cherokee loredo. I thought I had a battery problem put new one in and still drains. I then got the alternator checked it is good. What else could cause the Jeep not to run. Could it be...

The starter on your Jeep could be worn...allowing it to drain the battery when not running...this is hard to confirm...but usually causes the problem like you are having...:)

Where is the upstream oxygen sensor located on a 96 jeep cherokee grand loredo and how do you get to it

It should be on the exhaust pipe (looks like part of a spark plug with a wire coming out of it) since it's "upstream" that means you have two. The one you want is the one closest to the engine end of the pipe. How to get to it? Any way you can, what ever is easiest. One thing though...when putting the new one in, definitely use anti-seize compound on the threads or the next time you need to remove it, you won't be able to.
