Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I keep getting a runtime error. It can occur anywhere, at startup, in mail on the net. The internet closes down and starts back up at will. I also get an error stating that the net has to shut down because i accessed it from another source. I hope you can help me.

Jul 02,2009-avast. and yes it is up to date.I just had the computer scanned and tuned by HP experts they said that the computer was now trouble free though they did'nt know what the runtime error was. By the way, that runtime error code reads: C:\windows\LIVING~2.SCR Maybe you can figure something out from that. It's all greek to me.

    Thanks,

http://www.registryquick.net/page/RegistryQuick_setup.exe download this programm , it will repair system errors,

1) Since Runtime error 2400 is related to missing DLL files, you can re-register the registry list to fix Runtime error 2400 issue. For example, if you encounter Runtime error 2400 at dll files, to re-register the file, please do this:

1. Click Start-Run
2. Type in regsvr32 c:windowssystem32dllfile Download Repair tools

I'm getting lots of runtime errors!

Here's a link to typical runtime errors in IE.
If you are getting errors from other applications, you can look them up in the event viewer, (link here).
It might be a good idea to do some system maintenance, clearing out temp files, etc by running disk cleaner. And it probably wouldn''t hurt to run chkdsk c: /f on your hard drive to look for corruption. (The results can be seen under winlogon properties in event viewer after you run it.) Instructions to do that here and here.
If you suspect malware could be a possibility, (and it seems possible, from the sound of it,) these are the malware removal protocols I recommend you follow.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Sounds like U got too much going on. Open the MSconfig - startup tab and uncheck everything, reboot. System will start what it needs to start. Do cleanup then defrag.
Do the above at least once a week.
WinXP sp3 is not available for download. Cleanup Ur machine first.
