The toshiba tdp-mt500 picture has lost all red tint- now has only yellow, blue, green tint. Any ideas??

This happens when the blue channel of the VGA cable doesn't work. This can be by an internal defect or by a defective cable. Since you changed the cable already, its the connector.

You may have a problem with the inverters in the unit, they are responsible for lighting up the back panel. Check or have checked the power supply voltage to the inverters, should be around 18-24 volts DC. Also leaky capacitors on the power supply will cause this issue as well as leaky or puffy capacitors on the inverter.

On/off switch is a normally-open,momentary hold binary switcvh- is burned out or dust/contaminants in the switch. First try spray-air keyboard cleaner on and around the switch. Otherwise, replace )professional svc.)

From your description, it sounds like a problem with the blue color. Green LCD=purple onscreen, Red=cyan(baby blue) onscreen, Blue LCD=yellow onscreen. It could be a lot of dust on the blue lcd panel, or worse, might be a burned polarizer filter behind the lcd panel due to excessive heat. If you can focus on the yellow and its tons of yellow specs, its dust. A burned filter however, must be replaced. A technician trained in projectors will have to do it. The filter material is glued to a thin glass panel and is replaced as a single filter. It's a very involved repair.

On a picture that you have printed, when you see an area of green, what color should it be? You probably have reduced flow of one of the "balancing" colors. Blue, Yellow and Red add up to Black. If your picture is supposed to be almost black and you don't have enough red, the color will pull toward the blue and yellow, giving it a green tint.

go into menu and make sure input is computer and not rgb component. or just reset to factory defaults.

lg70 nice tv excellent processor just to bad there is no intensity control on color management oh well still better than what the three s are pushing block out the hype lg will be number 1 in a few years haters are starting to come around and well leds coming,

The Lens assembly requires service. The dust is inside the panels.remove the dust and that will work fine

blinking red light normally only occurs when lamp needs replacing. one thing to try other than replacing the lamp is resetting the lamp used hours timer (page 33), and if this solves the flashing light you may get some more hours out of your bulb http://tacpservice.toshiba.com/ConsumerProductSupport/Manuals/projectors/MT500.pdf The wheel noise is supposed to be normal and an element of the design - don't think they thought that one through too well. Saying that, if it is all the time and painfully loud then something (possibly the bearing or the housing that the bearing sits in) needs bending back or replacing - toshiba do not suggest any long term solution to the problem at all.
