;click on start-control panel -printer and faxes-c4400 series printer-right click on dat -click on use printer online
;;issue will get resolved and also click on ur printer as set as default

Black line on right hand side of the pahe


This usually indicates the the Teflon coating on the fuser roller is damaged and will need to be replaced. The fuser is the part at the back of the printer that heats the toner and fuses it to the paper. The heat roller is coated with Teflon so the toner does not stick. If something scratches this coating the toner will stick and come off on the paper in a line where ever it is damaged. Here is a link to an article showing how to check the toner, the guide is for the 2100 printer but the issue is the same.

Do a hard reset of printer to see if that clears up the electronics memory and restores operation. If that procedure and reinstallation of software does not remedy situation then something is wrong with the printer.

I have a black line on my copies when I get them, and when I fax the receivers tell me that they have a black line also. I does not happen if I print off the computer.


you need to clean the scan glass ..its located where you put the copies that you are sending there is a small glass .. probably has white out or something on the glass.. if you make a copy and the line is there and not there when you print from the computer its that glass

Theres something wrong in printing .. the printed paper have lines

How do i properly set up my printer to my computer so i can use it as a fax and as a phone line


I would try going thru the printer wizard. And the only way i know how to tell you to access the printer wizard is by clicking print and if your printer is not connected when you click to print something the printer wizard will be prompted and you will have access to the printer wizard

Printing quality


Printing quality on this printers is great, yet there are some trouble with older printheads.

You should follow this in order to fix the problem:
- Remove both ink cartridges
- Remove printhead (press release button on the inner left corner of the printhead, above where the black ink cartridge goes)
- Close the cover and wait until it tells you that the printhead is missing. When it does, open the cover again and place the printhead inside (put it in and press towards the back of the printer, make sure it makes a loud snap).
- place both ink cartridges in
If the printer says "press start to copy", press the menu button and select calibrate printer, and then select "print calibration sheet".
If it just tells you that there is a new printhead detected and calibration is requiered, follow the instructions it will give you.

Once you calibrate the printer,
- Press menu, scroll down to "clean printhead" and select "deep clean"

Once that is completed, go ahead and print.

If it is still not working, you got a defective printhead and you need to replace it.
You will need to go to kodak.com/go/itg for additionl troubleshooting and the replacing of your printhead, or you should just call 1 800 421 6699 and have then replace the printhead for you. This is free of charge.

Dear Sir, I just bought a Lexmark printer. When I print some papers out, the first paper in cluding something which is unwanted. Please tell how to fix it. And I don't have any paper showing how to use...


Actually there are some printers that in first use it is needed to print a page which print lines... it is needed to align the printer especially when bought a All in One printer... can I have the Model of the Lexmark printer.. TY

Print a activity report(something in the memory)...if you don't see the line it's because your miror are dirty, just take a soft clothe with alcool and clean them...

Everything I print is underlined


to determine if it is the printer, try these :

>windows test page (printers & faxes, printer's properties page)

>self-test ;
Please perform the following steps to ensure your printer is physically functioning.

1) Disconnect the printer cable that is connecting printer to the computer, by unclipping or unplugging it from the back of the printer.

2) Turn the printer ON by holding down the POWER button for about 3 seconds.

3) Load A4 or LETTER size paper in the sheet feeder on the back of the printer.

4) Press the MENU button on the control panel until NOZZLE CHECK appears. Press the COPY button.

5) The printer will print a pattern displaying a number and a nozzle pattern with black & color. Examine the nozzle check pattern that has printed. Each staggered horizontal line and straight vertical line should be complete.
