Retro Nintendo 64 Controller by Retro-bit is not working properly

I just got my Retro-bit Nintendo 64 Red Controller today in the mail. It was in its original packaging, and it looked fine. When I plugged the controller into controller port 1, and turned the Nintendo 64 on with my Goldeneye 007 game, it booted up and made it to the main menu fine.
Although, once I got to the main menu, I noticed something weird. When I would push the analog stick all the way down, the crosshair on the main menu would actually move up on the screen. When I would move the analog stick slightly down, it would scroll down correctly. I bought two controllers, and they both have that same problem.
Another problem: During gameplay, I tried to use the slow-motion function, but all that happened was the game would go into the pause menu, then out of the pause menu in rapid succession. I don't know if that is normal or not but, that's what is happening. I also would like to know how to use the turbo function. Please help, because I really need any help I can get.

This is an old question but Ill answer it.

N64 controllers always need to remain still before the system starts or it will lean to one way. That means if you hold right it will continue to go right.

Slow down always does the pause button quickly, there's no way to use a controller to slow down a game. If its a pause screen it might be fine but if its 007 with a major menu change it doesn't work that well don't it?

Turbo normal works like this. Ether hold the button then press the turbo button, or hold the turbo button then press the button. Turbo works just like the slow down. It will continue to send the command to do A or B over and over.

How do I hook up the Retro Duo nes/snes system to an older tv that has no a/v connections. I do have a Direct tv cable box but when I hooked the a/v cables to it absolutely nothing happened

Do you have a VCR that can hook to the TV that has the proper hook ups for your game system? Be sure your TV is on proper channel for your VCR to work (test it with a VCR tape and see if it plays) then change your channel on your vcr until it shows your game you have in your system hope that helps good luck

How do you erase memory from the memory pak

  • Plug an N64 controller into the "Player 1" port on the Nintendo 64.
  • 2 Place the N64 Controller Pack into the memory card slot on the Nintendo 64 controller.
  • 3 Insert a Nintendo 64 game into the cartridge slot on the N64.
  • 4 Hold down "Start" on the N64 controller.
  • 5 Turn the Nintendo 64 on via the "Power" switch on the device. After the console loads, the Controller Pack menu will appear on the screen.
  • 6 Release the "Start" button on the N64 controller.
  • 7 Browse through the saves listed, using the N64 controller's directional pad.
  • 8 Highlight the game you want to erase.
  • 9 Select the "Delete" option. The pages that were occupied by the game save will be erased from the Controller Pack.
  • 10 Repeat Steps 7 though 9 until you're finished erasing pages on the Controller Pak. Restart the N64 if you wish to play the game that was inserted into the device, or turn the Nintendo 64 off if you are done using the console.

Not all games work with the classic controller. To see if yours do look on the back of the cover in the top right corner a picture of a classic controller will be there if the game is compatible.
