Change your faxes DEFAULT font size to a lower setting... lt us know if it still does the same thing for the same amount of characters

Are you sure the driver is set to A4 paper and not Letter Size. Letter size is the default. Letter size being larger than A4 would mean the print would be off the bottom so you wont see it. Could be as simple as that.

sounds like your printing to a custom page size in your printer properties in the computer, go into control panel >> printers >> right click your printer >> go to properties Set the page size to A4 or Letter. When you go to print your document, use the printer properties button to make sure your page size remains at A4 or Letter. I think the printer may be asking you to insert your custom page size, and then waiting for the "Go" button to print, next page . repeat. (kinda like if you were inserting envelopes or greeting cards), Also check that your page setup in your word /office software is set to letter, as this would cause the same result.

Printing problem

Check your page size. If the page size is sr more than smaller than Letter, the printer will spread the job over more than one page.
  1. In the software program you are trying to print from, click File and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  2. Select your product, and then click Properties . The printer Properties dialog box opens.
  3. Click the Printing shortcuts tab.
  4. Under Printing shortcuts , click the type of job you are trying to print.
  5. Review the following options, and then make any necessary changes.
    • Paper size : Make sure that the selected option matches your paper size.

This document explains the different results obtained when using or not using the Automatic Reduction (or Auto Reduction) Feature. The following issues usually result when the Automatic Reduction feature is not set correctly:
  • Faxes printing too small
  • Faxes printing on more than one page
  • A blank page ejecting between each printed fax page
This feature can be turned ON (the default) or OFF from the Advanced Fax Features menu. The two main purposes of the Auto Reduction feature
  • Fits a received fax page onto the paper size loaded in the paper tray and selected in the paper size setting of the Basic Fax Setup. For example; if letter size paper is loaded in the paper tray and selected in the fax settings and a legal size document is received, each page will be reduced and printed on one letter sized paper.
  • Allows the addition of the fax header margin at the top of every printed fax without extending the fax onto another page. The fax header is printed at the top of every fax received with identifying information about the fax sender. Since this increases the overall page length, the page must be reduced to fit onto one page. Auto reduction slightly shrinks the fax as it is received so the entire page will print on one piece of paper even though a top margin is allowed for the fax header.

Tray output

You should configure TRAY 1 as Legal only.
and Tray 2 as plain letter.

Specially when you specify from what tray/paper type to print.

This can be easily configured from the Printer Properties within the Printers and Faxes section of the Control Panel.

Good luck!

Page overlap

Try changing the range of print in your printers options dialoge box to 1 page at a time only. Typically, by default, printers are set to print ALL pages. Give this a try and see what happens. If it works then the page you are trying to print has spilled over the format limits set on one page by your program. To prove this out try lower the size of the FONT on the page you are trying to print and then see if it still prints more than one page. These steps should help you trouble shoot thsi kind of problem
