On the WD-62327, you pull of the horizontal panel in the front that is just below the screen (this panel covers the speakers too).

Then, just to the left of center there is a panel with a few screws. Under that is the lamp housing that has 3 silver screws that are part of the housing and just unscrew, they do not come out.

Once those are off, you left the handle and slide it out.

Reverse to put in a new bulb.

Also, you should clean out the filter when you change the bulb. The filter is on the left side (looking @ from the front) and only has a few screws. Take off the panel and clean the foam(ish) filter and put it back on.

Probably wouldn't hurt to vacuum out any of the dust that is built up on the power supply fan in the back.

If you go to Google search and type in "Mitsubishi WD-62327 Owners Manual download" you will find a website that lets you download it for free. In that manual you will see the pictures and steps to change the lamp yourself. It's not hard to do at all. Saves you lots of money for a service call too!

I have the Mitsubishi WD62327 62". I just changed the bulb which I did last year on my own too. My problem is not replacing the bulb but now the tv does not want to turn on. This did not happen to me last...

You need to reset the timer lamp. On mine it is getting the display to lamp then hold the left and menu button for five seconds.

If that doesn't work go to the mitsubishi site and DL the PDF of your model and it should be in there unless you have the paper manual still around.

Need to replace lamp

On this model the lamp is behind the front grill, pull the grill off and you will find the lamp door in the middle it has two phillips head screws in it taske those out and you can look inside and see the lamp it has two flat head screws in it, loosen these all the way off, they do not come out of the housing, grab the handle and pull the lamp out, after you replace the lamp and before you try to turn the set on make sure the door is back in place and screwed down because it will not come back on if the door is not on.

Lamp Cartridge

Well I bought my about three years ago and that warning was poping on for about a year. The lamp finally went out, I should have got a replacement sooner. But I ran it longer than it should have gone, I think I read the lamp should last about 2 years, I got an extra year out of it. Oh well time for a new one...

WD-62327 Lamp

OSRAM VS. PHILLIPS
This is about buying replacement bulbs for the WD62327 TVs.I dont know about the other models but I purchased a PHILLIPS replacement bulb and it worked for about a week and then those dumb flashing lights and no TV. I did some research and others were saying that you had to replace some condensers. Shop would do it for 600 dollars..Well i sent the bulb back and bought an OSRAM replaement bulb. The TV is now working perfect.
