Ur error 010-398 indicates a fuser fan failure
the only chain link code available for this is 744-220
must be reset from diagnostics by resetting NVM (Non Volatile
Memory code 744-220 back to “0”)
if that doesnt help..... u ll have to replace the fuser fan.....
Yep, when the fan either stops running, or even becomes dirty and runs slower, it gives you that code.
The circuit measures the current flow, so either if it sees no current flow, or an increase in current flow it detects a problem and will shut down to prevent machine damage.
What you can do is unplug the machine and if you want to remove the back covers, remove the fuser fan, clean the blades, then remove the label on the fan and then the black rubber plug and lubricate the bearing. That should get it back to running.
You can call 1-800-835-6100. I just checked the price for it is $31, that is if you don't have an maintenance agreement.
if u dont have warranty and want a cost effective remedy i suggest u search ebay for ur item.... but since u say its for the church functions... u ll want a long standing copier... so even if there is no warranty i suggest u contact the number i provided above and get the genuine parts....

Does the machine have a network box on back? Frequently on that product
the boards in the network controller come lose, and simply need reset.
You can unplug all accessories and see if it powers up then, then connect them back one by one and see which one causes the failure
